An interesting gap in the research is how a group of neoconservatives managed to hijack Congress and public opinion to fight a parallel war against American intelligence agencies.

Your mind map very clearly maps out your existing research and the topics that you have covered thus far. I think it would be beneficial to you to think more about what sources you might need to find in order to answer the central question that you posed. Are you looking for primary sources, such as government documents and political speeches?
